The Day I received my mission call to serve the people of Tuxtla Gutiérrez, México for a year in a half. I report to the Provo MTC June 11th, 2014.

As I look back on this day my heart is filled with peace, happiness and unsurmountable love, love for the beautiful people of Mexico. I hope this video can show you a glimpse into how much I know the Gospel of Jesus Christ is true. "What Joy, what wonder, what amazement!"
Since the age of 8 I have known I would be serving a mission. I was that eager little girl who loved raising her hand and saying, "sister's can serve too".
Over thirty years ago my father opened the door to two sister missionaries who handed him a Book of Mormon. Around this same time my mother's friend invited her to attend church with her one Sunday morning where she met two sister missionaries for the first time. These two acts of loving service led to the conversion of my father and mother. It allowed my mother to choose to serve a mission, where she was called to the Mexico Torreón Mission. So I can easily say, we love Mexico, and the people of Mexico. I will forever be thankful to the four unsung heroes in my life. The young sisters who were willing to leave their homes and serve in the Texas Houston Mission. The impact this gospel has on families is eternal, my family is living proof of it.
I have a testimony that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints brings true, everlasting joy. It allows me to know that Heavenly Father knows us all individually. He knows our thoughts, our hopes, our dreams, our desires. He cares, He listens. He truly is a father of love. Read the Book of Mormon. It is true. I hope that we can all one day realize the magnitude of His love. It is so grand He provided a Savior for us, his son, Jesus Christ so that we could all return and live with Him again. I know the gospel of Jesus Christ allows me to feel happiness, with the assurance that my family, all families can be eternal!
