¡Creer en Milagros, Saber que si existen! La Enseñanza Eficaz

This week was incredible. One of the biggest blessings on my mission in these past seven months has been knowing, accepting and seeing the hand of God in my life, and not just witnessing others miracles, but instead, my own.

This week was full of many miracles, I would love to share a few. One of which began with a young 19yr old man who I mentioned last week, Ramiro! This week we had intercambios with the hermanas in Villaflores, and since they live an hour and 45 minutes away our intercambios last a little longer than usual. (From Wed. morning to Friday afternoon). This meant that Tuesday would be the only day Hermana Juliana and I would actually be together, to be able to teach Ramiro. I am amazed at how receptive he is. Ramiro has never been religious but was invited to come to church on Sunday (about a mth and a half ago), and came, and came, and never stopped coming. For some odd reason, every cita we put with him would fall through, until this past Tuesday. We took advantage and taught him EVERY THING, and when i say everything, i mean everything. He is so smart, he accepted it all really well. Hermana Allende finished teaching him with me this past week, we literally met with him everyday, and he was baptized on Saturday by our wards secretary, Victor who is also a not too distant convert.

The day before Ramiros baptism I asked him to share his testimony and he did. It was simply sincere. He mentioned that in his life previously if he ever encountered anything difficult, he would just give up, and leave it half way. And the weekend of his 5th church attendance, he was assaulted while leaving the church, they stole his backpack, a tablet, his phone. He mentioned that in that instance he could have thought, "This is a sign, I shouldnt go to the mormon church" but instead it motivated him even more. My favorite thing is that he told us Hermanas, "I want to finish this, and keep going, and going." He truly understands that the gospel is a never ending process of progression. I am so excited to have him as a JAS for our ward.

I also had my very first Zone Conference as a leader. It is incredible because we centered it on "La Enseñanza Eficaz", teaching efficiently. Hna. Juliana and I, along with the ZL prayed, a lot to determine how we could most effectively help the missionaries in our Zone be edified. We concluded with the most simple six steps: 1) Usar las escrituras ENSENAR CON PODER (use the scriptures TEACH WITH POWER) 2) Ensenar con sencillez y claridad (teach with simplicity and clarity) 3) Testificar (testify) 4) Invitar a Actuar (invite others to act) 5) Ejercitar Nuestra Fe (exercise our faith) y 6) Escuchar el Espiritu en todo momento (listen to the spirit in every moment)

And for several of the points we had activities, for example, for point two where you could pick out a flower, a person, a horse, all sorts of things, and them a second drawing, a detailed horse. This showing the importance of focusing on one point, but teaching it simply, and efficiently,
In punto 3 elder Perez sang a solo to "Come thou font" and we watched Missionary work and the atonement by Elder Holland/Eyring, and them had Hna. Grover and Elder Johnson share their testimonies. This was my favorite because the spirit was SO STRONG.
In between point 3 and 4 we took a few minute break in which we began a rumor that there were candies in the kitchen, and would go around (without inviting) asking who brought the candy, when we went back to the room we them asked, who heard about the candy? and who ate the candy?, emphasizing the difference in how much more efficient it is when we invite.

All in all it was so much fun being able to teach with the Spirit to these missionaries the importance of teaching efficiently. I know I am far from being the best teacher but I have a testimony that when we focus on these six points, the spirit will be in every lesson, and the investigator will have a conection with the spirit "alma a alma".

Believe in Miracles. One of my favorite and personal witness is found perfectly in the words of Elder Richard G. Scott: "Study the word of God in the scriptures and the words of the living prophets. We talk to God through prayer. He most often communicates back to us through His written word. To know what the voice of the Divine sounds and feels like, read His words, study the scriptures, and ponder them.5   Make them an integral part of everyday life. If you want your children to recognize, understand, and act on the promptings of the Spirit, you must study the scriptures with them.
Don’t yield to Satan’s lie that you don’t have time to study the scriptures. Choose to take time to study them. Feasting on the word of God each day is more important than sleep, school, work, television shows, video games, or social media. You may need to reorganize your priorities to provide time for the study of the word of God. If so, do it!"
I hope with all my heart that you will apply this principle to your lives. There is always time to "work in the vineyard of the Lord".
I know this is the true church because the power of the Spirit has let me feel it in my heart each time I tell someone, I know this church is the Church of Jesus Christ, our Savior. He lives, and wants us all to be happy. Never forget, we are here to experience JOY, everlasting JOY! 2 Ne. 2:25
Con Un Buen De Amor,
Hermana Coronado
